It’s a busy time right now; kidlet has an Irish dance recital this afternoon. The plan is to go see Pixar’s UP tomorrow in 3D and have dinner with my parents for the yearly “birthday meal”. My birthday go around, which is this coming Monday. Unfortunately, I have to work all day, kidlet has her last full day of school and then the hubs has school that evening. So, this year, my birthday will be spent largely doing everyday stuff; although, I never really do much for my birthday in the first place.
In addition, hubs and I are heading off for a vacation in two weeks to Arizona. Honestly, other than visiting some friends that we haven’t seen since they moved out of the area and going to their baby shower – we have no plans. Which, incidentally, may be a good thing.
I finished up the short I was working and after a few days break, dove back into a re-write of a full length novel I’d been working on. I’ve completely torn down my plot and this feels like a completely new book. The ending even isn’t the same as I’ve decided to combine some thingsĀ and the ending I once had is now in the middle.
Bet you’re wondering how this relates to Arizona? Along with a new ending, comes a new beginning. The first chapter only has shades of what it once was and now begins in a desert. Since I’ve never been to a desert, it’s very handy that I’ll be in a part of the country where there’s a heck of a lot of sand not connected to a beach, no?
Something tells me my camera will be getting a workout.
