Six Sentences for the Sickly

Since I’m sick right now and my brain isn’t built to work sick, I’m sharing six sentences with you from my WIP (unedited, so take it with a grain of salt):

The black painted my soul; coating it with a thick layer of despair that light wouldn’t be able to penetrate no matter how bright it was. It frightened me that I could so easily slip back into the inky depths that I had spent years dragging myself out of. That it could still find me so quickly.

What I had seen in his eyes for a brief second had frightened me. Vampires were ruthless creatures, often taking what they sought simply by force. The thought that he could get what he wanted with just a look floored me.

And as you can see, the blog got new clothes. :)
