Couple of things today: new clothes for the site, an announcement, a release date & a contest.

Let’s go in order, shall we?

The site has had a make over (if you still see the old clothes, refresh/reload the page to clear your cache) thanks to some graphic work I did, which also includes some desktops to celebrate the impending release. Check out the Flash of Dark page (under the “Rebirth series” tab) to see what I’m taking about.

I am pleased to announce that I just signed a contract with Liquid Silver Books to publish my erotic science fiction romance, Midnight’s Ghost. It’s the first book in a trilogy known as the Star Runner Saga. While I absolutely love paranormal romances with vamps, Fae, werewolves, shifters, etc…my true love is sci-fi. I’m so excited to be able to share it now!

So, we’ve talked about new clothes and new contracts…what’s next? Oh yes, Flash of Dark has a release date! Mark those calendars now for January 18, 2010. To celebrate, I’m giving stuff away. You heard me – it’s contest time. I’ve put together a “goodie” pack to help celebrate the release. Nothing too fancy, but some things that correlate to the book and the characters. I had them made specifically for the release contest and they are one-of-a-kind items that I won’t have made again. Items like a Stark Grantham, Inc. mousepad (since Stark owns a technology corporation) and a Síoraí coffee mug (to share your affinity for coffee with Ana and promote the hottest (fictional) spot in Cincinnati). There’ll be other things (pen, post-its (ya’ll do know about my affinity for them, right?), coffee…) but most importantly – a free download of Flash of Dark the day it releases.

Yep – the winner of the drawing will get the goodie pack and a free download of the book – after all, that’s why you’re entering, right? Now we get to the nitty-gritty, the details and believe me the rules are simple. The contest will run between 12:00 pm EST December 29, 2009 to 12:00 pm EST January 18, 2010. All you have to do is email fodcontest(at)sarabrookes.net and tell me you want in.

But wait! The giving doesn’t stop with just a simple contest – I’ve also got 75 promotional cards (like postcards) to dole out. Send me an email with your snail mail addy to: promo(at)sarabrookes.net if you want one of these babies. Don’t worry, as soon as I address the card, I’ll shred your snail mail addy.

Remember, just take out the (at) in the email addresses and replace with the @ symbol to send the email.
