Six Sentence Sunday – 10/16

Six sentences from one of my space opera’s Midnight’s Shadow.

I stared at the controls, wondering why Spyridon‘s engines shut down. A quick check showed they were barely at fifty percent as we sliced through the outer atmosphere of the planet. The screen filled with a blanket of black broken up by pinpricks of far away stars and planets. In less time than it would have taken me to get Eidolon up to power just to be able to push away from the dock, we were already barreling through space, heading for our final destination.
“Sweet loving fuckery. I think I just came.”

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published

2) pick six sentences

3) post ‘em on Sunday

See? Easy. Want to play? See the site for information on how to do just that: http://sixsunday.com
