I was asked to guest over at Paranormal Romantics today and decided to talk about a unique challenge I face as a writer. One most people take for granted. How do you write about five senses when you only have four? Come visit! http://paranormalromantics.blogspot.com/  So, it’s February 18th. Which means Flash of Dark has been out for a whole month. So, what I have done in that month? Started the next book in the Star Runner series (Midnight’s Shadow), finished the next book in the Rebirth series (Blood Fury), waffled and fought with my own inner writing related demons. [...] My brain has exploded a bit and I find myself suddenly working on something now I hadn’t thought I’d been working on yet. Thursday evening, I finished up my recent draft of the next Rebirth book, Blood Fever. I’ll set it aside for a little while before digging it back out to check for my [...] I haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth, I swear. I’ve been busy putting the finishing touching on my sci-fi romance (which I just finished those last touches on last night) so I could get it off for submission and have another story waiting in the wings for me to start editing. For those [...] Things have gotten a little hectic around my household as I just finished up my 2nd rough draft pass on the 2nd book in the Rebirth series Sunday night and I immediately dug into my next WiP, which is not a Rebirth book. It’s a sci-fi romance and doesn’t have a title yet despite the [...] Sometimes, writing is like a giant game of Row, Row, Row Your Boat. In other words, rowing up a stream and going nowhere. Okay, you go somewhere, but times like these – you sometimes wonder. I’m in the process of tearing apart Dark Fire, the second in the Rebirth series. There were a few things in [...] It’s been a very long weekend for me. My daughter’s Irish dance school put on their annual competition this past weekend and hubs and I volunteer for the whole weekend. To prevent a long story, my computer blew up Saturday afternoon. We’re talking physical memory dumps – repeated ones. Couldn’t happen at a worse time, [...] I’ve a confession. I’m not perfect. Whew, glad that’s out of the way. Why am I talking about not being perfect? Because, once upon a time – a very long, long, long, long, lo…you get the point – I thought I had to do it all right the first time. This didn’t just pertain to my writing [...] Working on a research paper, writing and general internet trawlings this weekend got me thinking about something. Well, other than I spend too much time behind my damn computer. I know I do, that’s the problem with attending online classes, writing on a computer and having a 40 hour a week job that I have [...] The sickness seems to be leaving me slowly, taking it’s sweet damn time about it. It’s made being productive very tough, so needless to say, I haven’t gotten much done on the writing front.
