Six Sentence Sunday – 4/10

Time to revisit the second book in the Rebirth series, Blood Fever, as line edits are happening on the third book (you can see where this is going…right?). We come upon Evande when she has found herself in a…precarious position. Between two men. Some of us probably wish to have such a problem. ;)

His other hand lifted to my neck, his thumb pressing under my jaw to lever my chin up to allow him unencumbered access. Head lowered to my neck, his mouth and teeth scraped against tender skin as I offered him the one thing Quinn could never have.
As Logan’s fangs pierced my skin, the pain accompanying it morphed with efficient speed into something that was all consuming. The ache of pleasure both the men were gifting me with was mind numbing and I succumbed to it with both of them inside of me in each of their own ways.
I gave myself over to the release as it swelled and it slammed into me so viciously my voice echoed through the trees that wept their dying leaves around us. I ripped at the seams, coming undone by an orgasm that felt as if it were slicing me in two.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy if you’re published

2) pick six sentences

3) post ‘em on Sunday

Six Sentence Sunday – 2/27

Since I fiddled with my Rebirth series this week, I thought I’d share six sentences from the second book in the series, Blood Fever. The third in the series, Forged in Fire, is due out this summer. And yep, this scene is headed right where you think it is… *cough*

His teeth grazed over the sensitive area where neck met shoulder and I let my head fall back in invitation. I closed my eyes in anticipation of the ecstasy to come but his mouth moved and I fought not to growl in frustration.
“No,” he whispered as his lips gently touched my ear. “Open your eyes.”
My eyes fluttered open to see leaves swirling a few feet off the ground near us and the sound in the air changed in pitch. My breath left me in a rush as I watched the growing vortex split down the center and suddenly Quinn stood naked amid the chaos.

Comments on blog posts this week will be entered in the Six Sentence Sunday massive drawing. See the site for details!
