Six Sentence Sunday – 3/14

Since I got an email from my editor this week, I was going to put six of those nicely edited sentences here for my Sunday post, but I finished with those already and dug back into my WiP (which finally has a tentative title! Yey!) and decided to share something from it instead.

Just a warning this week…there’s no foul language, but it does deal with/make reference to things some people may be wary of and/or find objectionable. Consider yourself warned. ;) Enjoy!

His body shifted, pushing against her harder and her eyes fluttered closed when his mouth brushed over the delicate lobe of her ear. “Does the thought of surrendering wholly and completely to me excite you? Does it frighten you to know all throughout dinner, I was thinking about locking these cuffs around your wrists and making you beg?”
Upon hearing his question, she was shocked to discover, even when facing the unknown, she hadn’t experienced an ounce of fear. Any uncertainty she’d thought about prior to this moment was merely because she hadn’t done anything sexual in nature with anyone else for such a long time. If she thought about it hard, really dug down deep, she suspected she’d learn there was actually a strength inside her she didn’t know she possessed.

For those new to this, the rules are simple:

1) pick a project – a current Work in Progress, contracted work or even something readers can buy
2) pick six sentences
3) post ‘em on Sunday

Six Sentence Sunday – 3/7

It’s that time of the week again – Sunday.

For the past week, my writing life has been centered around a new WiP and I thought I would share six sentences from what I’ve been working on. There’s no title yet, but you don’t need to know that in order to enjoy or for me to play along. :D

Her curt dismissal of his compliment told him she wasn’t someone who received compliments often. If he had anything to say about that, it wouldn’t continue. “Well, you said the store needed a whole new system because this one was outdated.”

“You’ll need a significant upgrade at least. Even then there’s no guarantee it will help because the system may be too old to handle the size of the data we’d throw at it.”

“And here I thought size didn’t matter.”
